KWEEKWEEK and BONECA secured a unique license to use one of London’s most iconic landmarks, the Battersea Power Station, one last time for a House Music event before its redevelopment after the summer into a complex of shops, offices and flats.

The Battersea Power Station was built in the 1930’s, in the heart of London but since it closed down it has been used to host some spectacular events. Over the years, I have been privileged in attending some of these, therefore there was no way I was going to miss the party to mark the end of an era. Over 700 people felt the same way and joined the KWEEKWEEK team in saying their goodbyes to a building that will be fondly remembered.

Very rarely in London do you see a party start before midnight, but drinks on arrival and got the venue packed a lot sooner than expected, so thank god we were in the VIP section and had a table for the night as the venue was and i would have found it annoying if I hadn’t got a seat. All music festivals should get Byron Hamburgers on board as their only burger supplier as they truly are the best burgers in London!!! If you havent tried one yet, I recommend you do, but I do warn you, once you start, you don’t stop : )))

Recently, my friends and I have got into smoking Ultimate Shisha! I’m hooked onto apple and peach! It’s also such a great way to start talking to total strangers. We had the whole VIP section smoking the portable electronic shisha and loving them. I recommend venues and events really look into providing Ultimate Shisha for their guests, as they really bring a fun, healthy an interactive element to the party.

It was the night to bid this iconic event space farewell, and boy did we do so! The incredible 3D Visual Mapping Display on the station‘s interior walls was a great touch, however what made this an unforgettable night was dancing to some of hottest tracks with my best friends to the early hours of the morning and having the critically acclaimed, award-winning Hamburg based DJ and Producer – Solomun just made that all the more memorable. All in all, KWEEKWEEK put on a superb House Music Party! Battersea Power station you will be missed!!!!
