This is the week that my dreams of directing Daisy come true. The 3rd day was probably the best day of my life!!!! Everything I had imagined came to life. The sun was shinning in the Kensington Gardens, the horses and swans where out and we were all in high spirits, ready to capture the beauty that is London. It so rare to get a good day in London let alone a week. We lucked out this week. The weather was perfect for filming and we were lucky enough to getting it all on camera. It felt euphoric filming in the Kensington gardens. I use to walk through that park every day for 2 years and I would imagine how the scene in Daisy would play out in my head. We got everything I had imagined and so much more thanks to the brilliant crew and cast that I had put together!!! So as you see I not only did I luck out with the weather, but I also lucked out with one of the best crews you could ever dream off. If it wasn’t for them and us working as a creative team to bring my vision to life, Daisy wouldn’t be what it is and I do feel after this week that it is something truly remarkable.

Every single person in the team is bringing something truly unique to the table. I’m enjoying getting to know them all and I’m learning so much from them as well!!! My art director is pulling out all the stunts with the low budget that we have, the makeup artist is doing amazing prosthetics even with all the dramas that come with it, my cinematographer is a delight to work with. His eye for light and making things happen that I dreamt of, has been phenomenal. And then you have our talent children who bring an innocents to the producing. Having children with EB on set, I think also reminded everyone who we are and what we are trying to achieve with this film. It brought us all closer and made us realise how lucky we are to do the things that we love to do. Really well done guys. I laughed, cried and jumped for joy many times this week and that is a good sign : )))

I’m feeling rather exhausted however I’m also high as a kite on adrenaline. Filmmaking is truly the biggest adrenaline hit one will ever have. It’s none stop, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and if you love it, like I do, well you feel like you are in heaven. Can’t wait to do it all again next week!!! Go team Daisy : ))) xxx
